BYD Seal

1. Accessing your vehicle

• Start your trip and unlock the car using your Ollo app
• Pull the door handle to open
• Press the button on the door interior to exit

2. Unlocking the charging cable

• Tap the charging icon on the central touchscreen, then select "Unlock"
• Unplug the cable from the vehicle and store safely
• The charge port door closes automatically and you are ready to start your trip

3. Adjusting the seat

The Seal has electrically adjustable front seats with multiple memory positions. Use the controls on the outer side of the driver's seat to:

• Move the seat forward or backward (bottom switch — slide forward or back)
• Adjust the seat height (lift or lower the front or rear of the cushion)
• Recline the backrest (upper switch — tilt forward or back)
• Adjust lumbar support using the dedicated four-way button

Seats are heated and ventilated on most trims — control via the touchscreen climate menu.

4. Adjusting the door mirrors

• Locate the mirror control dial on the driver's door panel (next to the window switches)
• Use the small selector to choose the L (left) or R (right) mirror
• Use the four-way directional pad to move the mirror up, down, left, or right
• Return the selector to the centre position when finished to avoid accidental adjustments

5. Adjusting the steering wheel

The Seal has electric steering wheel adjustment on higher trims.

• Use the toggle switch on the left side of the steering column
• Move up/down to adjust tilt angle
• Move forward/back to adjust reach
• Release once in your preferred position — it locks automatically

If your vehicle has manual adjustment, use the lever underneath the steering column (push down to release, up to lock).

6. Powering on & selecting drive modes

The Seal uses a crystal-style gear shifter on the centre console between the front seats, plus a separate Start button on the centre console near the wireless charging pad.

• Depress the brake pedal fully (do not release)
• Press the START button on the centre console — the dashboard will illuminate
• To drive: move the gear shifter to D (Drive)
• To reverse: move the gear shifter to R (Reverse)
• To park: press the small P button on top of the gear shifter
• For neutral: move the gear shifter to N
• Release the brake pedal gently to start driving

Drive modes (ECO / Normal / Sport / Snow) can be selected using the dedicated drive mode button on the centre console, or via the touchscreen. The Seal Performance (AWD) version has serious acceleration — 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds — so go gentle with the right pedal in Sport mode.

7. Plugging in the vehicle

When returning the vehicle, you must ensure it is plugged in and charging.

• The charge port is located on the rear right of the vehicle (above the rear wheel)
• Press the centre of the charge port door to open it
• Grab the charging cable from the charger and push the plug all the way into the AC (slow charge) port on the left side of the port
• The charge port light will indicate charging has commenced
• Lock the vehicle via the Ollo app to confirm the trip has ended
