Ollo is excited to announce the launch of our newest electric carshare location at The Bonobo, a boutique hotel accommodation, premium residences, retail, hospitality and wellness within a single thoughtful designed precinct at 116 Jonson Street in the heart of Byron Bay.
Delivered in partnership with Podia and Centennial, the new service gives residents and hotel guests exclusive access to three shared Polestar 2s, making it easy to experience Byron Bay and the surrounding region without the cost and commitment of private car ownership.
Whether it's a morning trip to the beach, a drive into the hinterland, or a weekend exploring the Northern Rivers, guests can simply book a vehicle through the Ollo app and be on their way.
A Different Way to Experience Byron Bay
The Bonobo represents an exciting milestone for Ollo as our first property in Byron Bay.
Unlike many of our metropolitan locations, where residents often use shared vehicles for commuting or everyday errands, Byron Bay presents a different style of mobility. Here, residents and visitors are looking for flexibility, convenience and the freedom to explore, without needing to own or hire a vehicle for their entire stay.
By integrating shared electric vehicles directly into the property, The Bonobo offers a seamless extension of the guest experience while helping reduce the need for additional private vehicles in one of Australia's most popular coastal destinations.
A Destination Designed Around Lifestyle
Developed by Podia, The Bonobo is much more than a boutique hotel. It is a thoughtfully curated destination that combines luxury hotel accommodation, premium residences, retail, hospitality and wellness into a vibrant lifestyle precinct.
Every aspect of the development has been designed to make staying in Byron Bay effortless and enjoyable. By adding shared electric mobility to the experience, guests and residents can continue that convenience beyond the property, with sustainable transport available whenever they need it.
We're proud to partner with a team that shares our vision of creating places where mobility is considered part of the overall experience, not an afterthought.
Looking Ahead
As Ollo continues expanding into new markets across Australia, projects like The Bonobo demonstrate how shared electric mobility can complement premium developments while delivering genuine value to residents, guests and property owners alike.
A big thank you to Podia and Centennial for their partnership and collaboration on this exciting project. We look forward to seeing the community embrace the service and to continuing our growth in destinations where sustainable mobility can make a real difference.
